The seafarer longs to be both at sea and at home, wants to scan new horizons and see again well-known waters and family faces. This special seafarer yearning inspired the design of our family rooms that give the traveller that friendly home port feeling.

Our family rooms have extra space and are meant for 3-4 people. There is a separable 160 cm Queen Size bed and a 90 cm extra bed. Some of the family rooms have bunkbeds instead of the extra bed, so that four people can sleep in comfort. Some of the family rooms are next to smaller rooms with beds for two people. This is ideal for larger families or friends and colleagues.

All of our family rooms are equipped with desk, bathroom with shower or bath, TV and minibar.

Breakfast is included at Gotthards Krog, where you can also enjoy lunch, dinner or snacks at the bar. Our breakfast buffet is served in our continental indoor square. Serving is open all day and offers the opportunity to enjoy drinks, snacks, lunch and dinner. The restaurant Gotthards Krog is named after Stora Hotellet’s first owner, Gotthard Zetterberg, and is ranked among Umeas best restaurants on TripAdvisor.
