Ever since Stora Hotellet’s first owner, Gotthard Zetterberg, was running the place, the seafarer’s passion for sea, adventure and foreign ports has become part of this building’s DNA For over 100 years the hotel has been managed with a passion for being a great host serving great food, drink and music for great occasions. These suites have long been a favourite of newly wedded couples.

Our 6 generous Junior suites belong to the Passion category. 5 of them are corner rooms with views across Umeälven river, Rådhusparken or the town hall. The Junior Suite has a 180 cm wide King Size bed. There is a large dining and work table and generous seating with sofas and armchairs. The bathrooms in the corner rooms have twin showers, while the suite opposite the main suite has a bath tub.

The fourth room is opposite the main suite and is in what was once the hotel’s famous banquet hall. The high ceilings create a great atmosphere and there are views of Väven, Umeå’s new culture centre. All of the Junior Suites have minibars, 46” TV and free WiFi connection.

Breakfast is included at Gotthards Krog, where you can also enjoy lunch, dinner or snacks at the bar. Our breakfast buffet is served in our continental indoor square. Serving is open all day and offers the opportunity to enjoy drinks, snacks, lunch and dinner. The restaurant Gotthards Krog is named after Stora Hotellet’s first owner, Gotthard Zetterberg, and is ranked among Umeas best restaurants on TripAdvisor.
